22 ha lucern currently established under sprinkler irrigation (and lei water). 12 additional hectares could be prepared for more lucern. If vegetable lands were converted to lucern, total area would be 48 hectares. There is also another 5ha lucern under flood irrigation – could be properly utilised if main waterline was extended another 500 metres.
