If you own a website, you probably already know that finding visitors is much more difficult than creating the website itself. That is why many websites struggle to be effective, make a profit and many eventually fail dismally. You can have the greatest looking site in the world, but without traffic, is there any point?
You ask "how do I get visitors to my website?" There are thousands of "gurus" on the Web that would like you to believe there is a special secret formula for getting traffic, and only they have this "secret". For a high price, they will share their secret with you and the floodgates will open easily. If only it were this easy ... we'd all be rich!
The two main aspects of Internet marketing that you must concentrate on and understand better than anything else:
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will your internet traffic. There are quick, effective, and quite inexpensive methods of driving traffic to your site. We will guide you through your Search Engine Optimization campaign process.
Search Engine Optimization is the art and science of tweaking your web presence to maximize your Search Engine visibility and this will lead to higher search engine exposure (ranking) to drive customers to your website.
Anybody with a computer can put up a website, but to get people to visit that website, and perhaps make a purchase, requires much more. Unless you have a unique marketing niche and USP (unique selling proposition), there are literally thousands or even millions of websites offering the same thing that you offer. In order to make your website stand out, one thing you can do is use the techniques of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Search engines are important to an internet business because it has been estimated that about 85% of website visitors arrive through a search engine listing. Performing some sort of SEO optimization on a website will enable search engines to more efficiently find, index, rank, and present your information.
There are many possible techniques involved in search engine optimization, such as proper use of meta tags, good HTML coding, use of valuable content laden with unique keywords, and inbound linking from relevant sites to name but a few.
We strongly believe that an SEO Specialist should first focus on content and niche visibility and then, if necessary, worry about rankings in the major search engines later.
Most websites lack quality content. They may have flashy graphics and sound, but none of this will impress the search engines or attract visitors. Quality, TEXT-BASED content is the only thing the SEs (search engines) really care about on your Web pages. Provide plenty of that and you are on the road to success.
Your visitors will be appreciative of an informative, content-based site. The more unique information you can provide to visitors, the longer they will remain on your site and the more trust you will have gained.
Site visitors that leave with nothing have no reason to use your site and no reason to purchase from you.
If you can enrich their visit with hard facts, or useful or entertaining content, then you are greatly increasing the chance that they will purchase your product or and come back for more.
Spiders also love "fresh" or new content. Sites that don't change much tend to lose page ranking. So try to add new content as often as possible.
... Sorry, we don't agree!
The accepted thinking in the e-marketing world it that your success depends on the the page rank of your pages in Google.
We don't agree we believe that you should first be asking "How do I improve my websites CONTENT?" What unique, quality content can I put on my site to make it special?
Increasing your websites unique content should be your main focus - NOT using weird and wonderful tactics to get a ranking in the major search engines.
The ONLY "trick" is to make sure that the content in your website is of high quality. This means that it has interesting, usable information that is unique from everything else that is out there. It needs to be creative, practical, and well written. This means that re-writing your competitors material is out of the question, and simply copying content from public domain articles is completely useless. You need to think about what your website is really about, and come up with your own unique angle and thoughts that will be interesting and useful to your readers.
This is not at all easy, and may require the assistance of writing and web content professionals to get you started, but it should be considered a long-term investment that will be well worth your effort when you start to turn the traffic that you do have into a high percentage of new and returning customers.
Remember, everybody is trying to grab all of the "hottest" keywords and produce content to get the words used the most. Your site must be different and use great keywords, but putting them in exceptional content is what will keep the visitors coming back again and again.
Forget about the idea of getting onto the first page of a Google search page that will come with time. Your ranking will improve because of having good quality content, and you will, by extension, increase your traffic and increase your ranking at the same time. Its a process that takes time and requires effort on your part or you can hand over this drudgery to us to complete for you.
Quality, relevant link exchanges are becoming more important every day. The SEs are placing more emphasis on inbound links in their algorithms, and for good reason. Each inbound link pointing to your site is like a "vote" of confidence in the eyes of the search engines.
But not all links are good. Links from unrelated sites on completely different topics are almost useless and a waste of your time trying to acquire them. The SEs are looking for relevant, related, quality links from websites in the same category or in a complementary category as yours. We seriously recommend against using any sort of "link farms" - the SEs will kill you!
Search engines take the number, quality, and relevancy of your inbound links into consideration when ranking your site. In fact, backlinks, or inbound links, account for over half of the factors that determine your rankings.
It can be difficult to get these all important inbound links. But with a bit of dedication and time, good backlinks can help you boost your site's search engine rankings.
