Richard Macke'
Mr. Richard Macke’ (67 yrs) had a stroke in September 2007, as a result of his stroke, was left paralyzed down his right side. He came to the BSSU after attending a rehabilitation hospital, in order to improve his strength and quality of life and hopefully gain some movement in his right side.
Success — Mr. Richard Macke’ today walks into the BSSU smiling as he is able to walk and drive his automatic car. He has enormous improvements in both range of motion and strength in both his right arm and leg. A true success where exercise has once again proven to improve both movement and function after a stroke.

Kevin Rheeder
Kevin Rheeder
(24 yrs) had a motor vehicle accident in 2008 which left him in a coma for a month after which he attended a rehabilitation hospital for 4 months. Kevin arrived at the BSSU in a wheelchair, unable to support himself independently.
Success—Today Kevin walks into the centre without any assistance. He has gained massive results in both strength and functional ability. He even challenges most of our students during his core session.
Mrs Chiles (82yrs) came to BSSU after having cardiac arrest ,she has high BP, Osteoporosis, arthritis in both hands and knees , hernia, knee replacement and frozen shoulder in her right shoulder. She has had four bad falls in the last few years which had left her terrified to walk alone.

Mrs Chiles
Success— Mrs Chiles’s confidence in walking has improved enormously however she still does have one or two minor falls. However because of her improved muscular strength and flexibility, she is able to recover faster and not be as disabled as before. She exercises at the BSSU 3 times a week and never misses a session, showing true dedication and commitment to exercise.
